I’m Erin Moore, an editor and proofreader based in San Diego, California. For over two decades, I’ve been working with words to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
How I Got Here
If I had to pinpoint when my professional journey began, it would probably be during my freshman year in high school, when I started volunteering at my local public library. The experience was so rewarding that, after graduating from college, I decided to pursue a career as a librarian myself.

Working as a librarian deepened my appreciation for literature and language, showing me the profound impact words can have on cultivating understanding and expanding curiosity. This recognition not only strengthened my commitment to literacy but also sparked a fascination with effective communication.

From that point on, I resolved to do everything I could to become a top-notch communicator — I took writing courses, joined Toastmasters, and immersed myself in books on the English language. Eventually, it dawned on me that I had an aptitude for editing and proofreading and could use these abilities to help people express themselves more clearly.

Since then, I have completed industry-recognized certificate programs, engaged in continuing professional development, and collaborated with diverse clients to deliver high-quality written content. It brings me immense joy to help clients succeed in their work, and I’m excited to continue applying my skills toward this purpose for many years to come.
Beyond the Editing Desk
In my free time, you can find me exploring nature on hiking trails and hanging out with family. And, of course, being a word nerd, I can never resist curling up with a good book or challenging myself with a new word game.
